a class reunion, VOGUE style

IMG_5928

One of Thread’s two designers, Beth, spent quite a bit o’ time at American Vogue as a fashion editor before deciding to switch sides and become a fashion designer. (If this is news to any of you out there, may we kindly suggest reading up a bit on the short but sweet history of Thread?)

Turns out there are a bunch of former Vogue editors who had the same idea, and so a few of these ex-Voguettes-turned-designers decided to come together for an event on Thursday, September 10, A.K.A Fashion’s Night Out. (If you aren’t familiar with Fashion’s Night Out, may we kindly suggest reading up a bit on the short but sweet history of the event?)

We’ve been hard at work all summer trying to nail down venues, liquor sponsors, party hosts, DJs… and it is all finally starting to come together. Should be a GREAT time (if we do say so ourselves), but the best part is that every last one of you is invited, too.

WHAT: Vogue Alumni House, featuring Thread Social, Gryphon, Duskin, Doucette Duvall, Wren, Prova, Hester.

WHEN: Thursday, September 10, 2009, 6pm-11pm.

WHERE: Bellhaus Pop-up Shop, 57 Bond St at Bowery, NYC.

WHY: Clothes and cocktails, DJs and designers. Need we say more?
